Let’s dance!
I have been enjoying the one minute dance party videos of Khadaura on Instagram that offer silliness, joy, and dancing as a way to release stress and be present in the moment. Dancing with abandon and letting go of expectations and judgements of ourselves is a simple gift we can give ourselves. Often we go through the motions of “appropriate behavior” due to the many layers of shoulds and should nots we have absorbed in our lives and forget that we can choose to do something different, to be different, and to listen to our own authentic voice. Dancing can offer us a sense of freedom and joy that transcends the responsibilities and realities of life. So I encourage you, as Corrine Bailey Rae sings,
“Girl, put your records on
Tell me your favorite song
You go ahead, let your hair down.”

Tomorrow is a New Moon in Aries bringing in “fiery energy, passion, inspiration and motivation for a deep reset, rebirth and new beginning.” (Lena from The Power Path) I had the good fortune to experience the cusp of this energy this morning as I enjoyed time with my retreat co-leader, Andra Brill. Let the spark of this energy shine brightly to illuminate your next steps and ground yourself with time in nature to support your inner balance.

SCMSC is a 6 week adaptation of the full MSC course where you will learn to use the skills of mindfulness to develop the inner resource of self-compassion and enhance your capacity for emotional wellbeing.
